General Meeting Minutes
January 08, 2008
The general meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President, Lorrie Allemand. See
sign in sheet for attendance.
Minutes
: Minutes were sent out via email to all GGBC parents and copies were providedat the meeting.
A motion was made to approve the minutes by Ellen Gunter. The motionwas seconded by Lucy Barrera. The minutes were approved as is for the December 13,
2007 meeting.
Treasurer’s Report
: A copy of the Treasurer’s report was given, statement date12/31/07.
A motion was made by Kathy Brown to approve the Treasurer’s report assubmitted. The motion was seconded by Becky Brown. The motion passed.
KarenBaughman reminded those who had account activity for December where their account
was updated to pick up individual account statements. Also a final payment of $23.00 is
due by January 15, 2008 for anyone attending the Florida trip in March 2008. Payment
must be made in full for the trip or all monies will be forfeited. The Treasurers requested
that the appropriate forms enclosed in the Golden Girl binders/updated packets
distributed in August be used to make all payments. If paying by check, please make sure
to have parent and Golden Girl names included on the check.
VP Reports
:Costumes: Kathy Brown reported that we need 36 hair pieces by Feb. 8, 2008.
Pants on costumes also need to be hemmed. Reminder that girls must have their
earrings to wear for competition. If they have been lost or damaged, they need to
be replaced. Earrings are available for all to purchase at Sam Moon’s.
Social: Two contests are coming up and this committee would like to show
support for the girls. Proposals are purchasing items to show support like sweat
towels, water bottles, or for parents to purchase spirit items like plastic clappers.
Also activities like releasing balloons for the girls, creating signs for in front of
the school, and making snack bags for the girls to take to competition was
suggested.
Fundraising:

Bike Ride: March 29, 2008 There are sign up sheets for volunteers. Allfamilies are required to volunteer for this event. We have around 800
riders expected. Registration information is on the GG website. Diana
went over the different sign up sheets and asked that all go ahead and sign
up for their preference. For those not signed up, names will be placed in
areas that need help.
Reporter/Spring Show: We will need underclassmen parents to help at the Spring
Show in May for the Dessert Social after the performances are over.
Committee Reports

Line of Gold: Just a reminder to use your Kroger Share Card whengrocery shopping. If you need one, please let Jerri Smith know. Also,
every family will be asked to contribute an auction item for the Spring
Show. Be thinking about what you would like to donate as an item.

Cunningham: Check your emails for upcoming opportunities as they arise.o

Video: Helene` will be meeting with the videographer in March. Shewants to try and make sure that all girls are represented in the video, so
don’t forget to send pictures if you have them. There will be a deadline for
picture submission stated at next month’s meeting. When sending, please
make sure to identify the event in the picture.

Community Liason: no reportDirector’s Report: A copy of the Director’s Report was given to all parents.
Parents are encouraged to monitor their daughter’s grades using the Home Access
Center available through CISD. Also, important upcoming dates were noted on
the report to mark on your calendar. Please make sure to note upcoming
competition information.
Our next Booster Club meeting will be on February 12, 2008. Meeting was adjourned at
8:00 PM.
